Greeted with a smile. Casual and calm atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing, presentation and taste with exceptional service. Even the cats are friendly. The shop is filled with a trendy selection of crafty gifts. Loved it and highly recommended.

Best coffee and breakfast I had in The Cook Islands. Came back for dinner and the fish tacos were amazing. The friendly service great food and atmosphere made this place a cut above the rest.

We tried the infamous fish curry and handmade naan bread it was absolutely delicious! Also ordered the Island Mac which wasn’t on the menu it was so good wayyy better than Maccas. Very friendly staff and excellent customer service! We will come back to try the fish tacos!

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending three days in Aitutaki for a long weekend recently.We ate at Avatea on several occasions as I’ve also eaten here in the past when visiting with work.The food is exceptional as are all the staff who are friendly, personable, and very hospitable.I would highly recommend this eatery for breakfast, lunch or dinner and the Aitutaki Brewery Beer is some of the best I’ve tasted. Outstanding atmosphere and I will experiencing this for sure the next time I’m in Aitutaki.

This beautiful cafe is a gem. The atmosphere is quiet, comfortable and idyllic especially in the evenings. I loved the kitschy mismatched furniture. I also loved how nice they were to our baby.The food was carefully made - healthy, full of fresh ingredients (especially vegetables which I found lacking in many other restaurants). The coconut fish curry tasted so homemade. The portions are quite big so two apps and an entree for two people is enough. Can’t wait to try their breakfast and lunch.

Find your way to this lovely Cafe on Aitutaki, great food great price and friendly staff. Cool little gift area to the side if you want a little souvenir to take home. Just make sure you take cash with you as they don't have eftpos facilities. Had the seafood pizza and the paw paw chicken salad, the salad was amazing, pizza felt it was missing something to really make the seafood standout but was still nice. Good selection of drinks as well.

Read lots of positive reviews before heading to Avatea for lunch. Food was well presented, fresh and delicious. We had the miso prawn bruchetta and the fish tacos. (Heard a lady on the next table say that she had just eaten the best burger she had ever had in her life). Service was friendly, and the setting, nestled amongst a beautiful garden, was quint and picturesque. A must visit if visiting Aitutaki. For added comfort, bring some insect repellent.
